It has been one year since we published our first loan on the Max Crowdfund platform, and what a year it has been so far! We want to celebrate the first anniversary of the Max Crowdfund platform with this article. In this article, we will give you a recap of our first year, and we will provide you with a small peek of what we hope our future will look like. Happy reading!
The first loan of Max Crowdfund
It all started in July 2020 when Max Crowdfund achieved approval of the Dutch Financial Authorities (AFM) to become the first blockchain-powered real estate crowdfunding platform in the world.
The first loan was published on the 24th of September 2020. The property was located in the up-and-coming area of Rotterdam-Zuid. The fundraiser, Cube Investment BV, was looking for €174,000 financing. The loan was fully subscribed within six days, 4 hours and 13 minutes by 41 investors. Besides, the loan had an interest rate of 8%, which is pretty good for a first loan.
One year later
Now, one year and 18 projects later, we are still continuously growing. Our community is getting bigger, and we get more attention from every corner around the world. We have raised over €5 million, and our average return is 8.44%. Besides our Dutch platform, we have signed contracts with franchisees in New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The most recent loan published on Max Crowdfund (the 18th of September) was a loan in London, the UK. Forty-four investors raised the total amount of €310,000 in only 1 hour and 14 minutes. The interest rate is 10% for nine months.
Nowadays, most loans with an amount of around €100,000 are fully subscribed within only minutes. Where larger loans, like the loan in London, are filled within around one hour.
Besides more loans and investors, our team is growing fast. We started with a small team of 4 hardworking employees. One year later, we have a team consisting of 10 employees and growing.
The future
We have achieved so much in just one year. However, now is not the time to sit still. On the contrary, we must keep and expand our platform even more to offer the world’s best crowdfunding platform based on blockchain.
As mentioned earlier, we have signed contracts with different countries. Moreover, we are in (advanced) discussions with partners in Belgium, Australia, Canada, Denmark, the US, South Africa and various other countries. Our biggest goal is to have the Max Crowdfund platform up and running in every interesting country worldwide, where all our investors can invest in real estate projects in different countries.
We want to thank our investors and fundraisers for their trust in our platform. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are now. We hope that we can still meet their expectations in the future and more.
