Application for the European crowdfunding license

On April 28, 2022, we submitted the application for the EU crowdfunding license to the AFM (Financial Markets Authority). As of November 10, 2022*, crowdfunding service providers must have this license if they want to continue their services. In addition, the requirements arising from the new European Crowdfunding Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 must be met. This new regulation came into effect on November 10, 2021, and provides greater investor protection and transparency.

Completing the application is an important step for the international expansion of Max Crowdfund. With this license, it will be possible to offer investment opportunities in all countries of the Union.

*November 10, 2022 is the current deadline. However, this can be postponed by the European Commission for a maximum of one year.

Would you like to know what this regulation means for you as an investor? We wrote an article about this.
